Well, we have had a bit of a break here at MPDSports. This is the odd time when Football and Baseball are absent from our lives.  But things are starting to heat back up, so you will start to see posts again real soon.

I will also do a recap of the Football season picks, Last years Baseball season picks, and the skinny on the new Baseball season to come.

So we are alive people, Keep the faith, Survive the cold winter, because soon damnit, spring will come and baseball will be in motion.

Way to go Saints….

As we said, the Saints won the game and of course won with all the lovely points Vegas gave you.. Plus a solid 14 point victory to boot, which makes me look good, but the game was not a blow out until the very very end.

Personally, the Saints coaching staff in the first half of the game truly sucked. The first half game plan was utterly pathetic and the Saints was lucky that Peyton Manning only touched the ball 3 times in the 2nd quarter. I want to know, how do you have a game plan that does not take Addai out of the game, the Saints are lucky that the rookie coach for the Colts did not figure that out or the Colts would have won the game. Then the Saints coaching staff needs to look up the screen play, the 1 screen play they ran went for a touch down, next year get the freakin clue and get a few of them in the play book.

Still as bad as the coaching staff was for the Saints in the first half, they were awesome in the 2nd half. In the 2nd half the Saints offense figured out the Colts defense and the Colts defense never had a prayer once that happened.

It was a great SuperBowl, It was a great performance by both teams.

The Saints are SuperBowl Champions… The Saints are SuperBowl Champions… Let the Titties and the Beads reign in New Orleans Tonight….

Well, we are coming to the end of the football season.. It is always a bittersweat time. After the game, no football for months.. Which is always sooo sad.

Let’s get to the game. This is an easy pick, Take the Saints with the 5+ points and straight up. Although the Colts have a great offense, their defense cannot compete with the Saints offense. I believe it will be a blow out with the Saints easily winning the game.

What a great Sunday for football. The NY Jets put a good solid scare into the Colts for 3 full quarters. If it was not for the idiot kicker we would have covered the spread in the game. Still was a fantastic game, Jets played the best they could play. Then you had the messy affair with the Saints and the Vikings. You just cannot win a game when you have 5 turnovers. If it was not for stupid turnovers the Vikings would be going to the superbowl. Plus it did not help that Farve got hurt in the game and I would not be shocked that he played that game with at least a concussion. Farve did the best that he could, it was a great effort on his part. Still looks like the Saints are marching in.

What a great football sunday we have this week. The Vikings Saints games is without a doubt must watch TV. Then you got the Colts who went out of their way to put the Jets in the playoffs. What would the Colts fans do if the J E T S jets jets jets actually won the game.  Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for.

Well, we have the goat of goats this off season in baseball. The ownership who does their least, welcome to the LA Angels. Losing free agents to the left and too the right.

It is at the point that I need to offer an apology to the owner of the Baltimore Orioles, who I had always considered to be the worse owner in all of baseball. So to you owner of the Baltimore Orioles, I would like to apology a thousand times to you….

Lets look at the people the Angels have lost:

1. John Lackey
2. Chone Figgins
3. Kelvim Escobar
4.  Vladimir Guerrero

How on earth can you allow yourself to be so pathetic to lose these fine players. What kind of team do you plan on fielding this year. You have excellent fans that love your team, they deserve sooo much better than this. As an owner do you not feel that your own fans, who have to put up with the Dodgers, deserve better, deserve a team that may actually make the playoffs. Does this organization have any shame whatsoever, at want point do you stop counting the dollars and reward your fans with a team that might actually win the whole damn thing.

Hello People,

Well we had a good weekend. Most of the games went the way we thought they would. The only upset that we had was the J E T S Jets Jets Jets, even though I am a Patriot fan, I was happy to see the Jets win. I love to see a team dig deep and make it happen. The Jets had a game plan and followed it, you just have to love a well coached and played game. The only way the Jets could win that game against the Chargers was to win a close low scoring game in the 4th quarter, which is what happened.

The Chargers suffered from the same disease that the Bengals suffered from.  They played the game like a regular season game. The Chargers receivers sucked and they sucked all day and night long like a hoover vacuum. When a ball is thrown in your direction in the playoffs you have to go get it, with no excuses. Those receivers played like they had another game, well guess what, now go grab your golf clubs and have a nice off season. Next time you get to the playoffs, act like it.

Ok my New England Fans..

Come on down from the large buildings and bridges. Already the talking heads in Patriots Nation is looking for a scapegoat for why the team got smoked in the first week in the playoffs. Randy Moss who is your main whipping boy these days, is not the problem. Let me make this soooo simple that even a sports talk radio person is going to get it, so pay attention:

1. Tom Brady threw 3 picks and gave up 1 fumble. None of which has anything to do with Randy Moss.
2. Ravens dropped 33 points on the Pats,  Randy Moss does not play defense.
3. Ravens ran for 234 yards, Again Randy Moss does not play defense.
4. How many defensive players did the Patriot organization get rid of due to money considerations. Is that Randy Moss’s fault as well.
5. Is it Randy Moss’s fault that Joey Galloway never played in this style offense?
6. We had plenty of speed wideouts last year, any one of which could have been signed, Did Randy Moss take over player personel.
7. Here is a stat that no New England fan is going to believe.. Who do you think had the most yards receiving in the game.. Randy Moss, the man must be guilty..

Hello Folks,

Well Saturday was a bad day. Sadly the Bengals decided not to show up and play, except for Cedric Benson. At least he had the balls to play in the game. Now the J E T S jets, jets, jets, that entire team came to play. Say what you want but if the Jets coaching staff and players do the same thing next week, they may just win again. Now that Eagles Cowboys game, that was my bad. If Westbrook was not going to play the full game it was unlikely that they would win. So sadly that was a horrible pick by me.

Sunday, now we had a nice rebound. The Patriots had not beat a winning team all year round, the Patriots losing was not aweinspiring. Now the Greenbay Arizona game which sadly was the best game of the weekend, has to be the worst defensive combined performance I have seen in my life. Both teams should fire their defensive coordinators tonight. I know that Arizona has another game to play but lets be honest, a dead dog could do better as a defensive coordinator. Think about this GreenBay scored 45 points without scoring any points in the first quarter… Fire that man before the Saints drop 60 points on you next weekend.
