Hello PGA DFS Peeps,
I am going to handle this preview a bit different. I personally do not like the majority of the field. To be honest, I really only like four golfers for this tournament. This usually scares me because I am either dead right or dead wrong, with ZERO in-between.
As in past tournaments, I do not like the top high priced golfers. You can make valid arguments for Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, and Justin Thomas. I believe they should be faded to oblivion.
I believe in past performances at the tournament. I also place value on hot golfers playing well in the now. I never like golfers who are cold or playing dogshit in the past few tournaments. Although, I do believe you have to ignore some of the horrific scores that came out of the Memorial. Jack Nicklaus decided to beat those golfers and he should have. He forced the field to make better shots, which is something the PGA Tour needs to work on in future tournaments.
So what I am going to provide is my Four Core Golfers that I like in this tournament. All Prices Draft Kings.
Webb Simpson at $9.9K is playing very well, especially if you take the Memorial finish out of the equation. He is also a solid performer at this event.
Tony Finau is a must-have at $9.1K. He is playing good enough to get into the top 10 in most weeks. Personally, he should be playing better on the weekends but he is a good play for this tournament. He also plays well at this event. Remember the word is “well”.
Matthew Wolff at $7.9K is a good price and he is hot. It also helps that he has played well at this tournament in the past.
Ian Poulter at $7.4K is a value play. If you ignore the finish at the Memorial, he is a bargain-basement red light special for this event. The best part is that he has a solid history at this event.
I hope this helps your DFS PGA Team. So I hope you can get all six of your players into the weekend to make some cold hard CASH.
